Position Overview:
The Project Manager/Branch Manager is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships to promote Lydale and ensure a steady flow of claims. They are also responsible for providing estimates on new jobs and managing each job from start to finish. Each Project Manager builds and maintains relationships with different insurance companies and adjusters so that Lydale is the restoration company of choice. This role will also encompass manage the day to day operations within the Edmonton Branch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Attend new claims and inspect progress and work quality throughout the project lifespan
- Complete scoping, sketching, estimating, job costing, coordinating of resources and communicating with insured and adjusters for residential and commercial mitigation and reconstruction
- Educate the client on the process of the timing of service delivery and realistic expectations for contents, emergency work, abatement and repairs
- Ensure industry KPIs are met or exceeded
- Liaise with appropriate departments and sub-trades to ensure that work is completed on time, on budget and meets Lydale’s quality standards
- Liaise with appropriate departments, sub-trades, homeowners and adjusters of the status of work. Inspect progress and work quality throughout the project lifespan.
- Work with assigned Project Coordinator to ensure all administrative aspects of the jobs are performed in a timely and accurate manner
- Work with appropriate resources to ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner at an acceptable margin
- Deliver exceptional customer service to insurance stakeholders, homeowners and property managers. Be proactive in resolving customer service issues
- Build and maintain relationships by meeting adjusters on jobs, providing timely and accurate estimates and billings, networking and attending industry meetings. Generate new leads through relationships with adjusters and project managers.
Branch Management
- Act as a mentor to all staff
- Provide guidance to all branch departments to ensure work efficiency
- Evaluate and approve all staff and overhead related costs
- Work through escalated jobs to find resolutions that satisfy the customer while using proven conflict resolution skills
- Work with Human Resources to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to current work volumes
- Ensure staff are trained and certified to appropriate level to preform high quality work
- Ensure equipment and vehicles are maintenance appropriately evaluate when new vehicles or equipment needs to be purchased
- Act as the main point of contact for employees that have questions related to ongoing jobs or processes
Health and Safety
- Ensure all relevant safety standards are followed according to Lydale and OHS Alberta requirements
- Ensure good housekeeping is kept to perform work safely and efficiently
- Understand safety policies and protocols
- Ensure that self and others on site are wearing all required PPE, when required
- Exemplify the company values: integrity, pride, our team, respect and dependability
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- 4-5 years of hands-on experience within a restoration organization
- Proven success and stability with long-term clients
- Valid Alberta driver’s license with a satisfactory driver abstract. Vehicle capable of transporting materials and equipment is preferred.
- Clean criminal record as it relates to work
- Experience in carpentry, abatement or water damage is required
- IICRC WRT

The restoration of property and structures is very technical. The Lydale team go the extra mile to ensure customers and all persons involved understand the process, and what can be restored or must be replaced, while utilizing green technologies and the latest industry approved equipment.
