Position Overview: Finning Canada is looking for passionate field experienced Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to join our team dedicated to servicing our customers in Dawson Creek and surrounding area. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance and diagnostics of a variety of Caterpillar equipment, mainly in a field environment.
The ideal candidate resides in the Dawson Creek / South Peace Region, is a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic (Red Seal) and is looking to support and manage customers in the area. Job Description: Major Job Functions
- Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment in a service oriented General Line or Construction Equipment environment
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**
Specific Skills & Experience
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment, other dealer lines of equipment will be considered
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Completion, or in the process of completing all Finning S- level courses an asset
- Self-motivated and computer literate
- Strong experience with: Service Information Systems, Electronic Technician and Salesforce
- Successful candidate will possess a strong business acumen, be customer focused and motivated to meet the customer's expectations
- Ability to work safely with minimal supervision
Important Details:
- This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
- Shift work may be required in the future
- A recent driver’s abstract is required
- A condition of employment will be the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (Drug/Alcohol/Fitness screening)
- Please be advised, the successful candidate will reside in the Dawson Creek / South Peace Region
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
