About the role

Innovation Saskatchewan is the innovation agency for the Government of Saskatchewan. We fuel economic growth by empowering innovators and supporting Saskatchewan’s vibrant tech sector and research community. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Communications & Marketing, the Marketing Strategist plays a key role in shaping how Innovation Saskatchewan shows up to the world. From planning campaigns months in advance to jumping on timely trends, this role is responsible for developing and executing strategies, managing campaigns across channels and helping turn organizational priorities into work people see, read and respond to.

The ideal candidate brings strong strategic marketing experience and demonstrates an ability to interpret data, spot patterns and translate insights into action.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring marketing trends, platforms and best practices and applying them in practical ways.
  • Conducting research and analysis to identify audiences, opportunities and messaging that will resonate.
  • Developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Analyzing results and adjusting campaigns to improve performance and engagement.
  • Managing and segmenting audiences to support targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Developing newsletters and email campaigns that are aligned with brand standards, priorities and audience needs.
  • Tracking email performance and optimizing campaigns based on results.
  • Planning and supporting event marketing that increases reach, participation and visibility.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across sponsored events and activations.
  • Developing and maintaining website content that is accurate, accessible and user focused.
  • Monitoring web analytics and recommending improvements to strengthen user experience and effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create marketing content that supports programs, initiatives and campaigns.
  • Assisting with print and promotional materials while ensuring consistency with brand and accessibility standards.
  • Maintaining documentation, procedures and related records.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What We Want from You

  • 3–6 years of experience in marketing, communications or a related field (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related discipline (required).
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret performance data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgement, initiative and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A clear Criminal Record Check (required).
