About the role
CIMCO is looking for experienced Pipe Welders for our facility in Burlington. Responsibilities include assembling, welding (MIG, TIG), blueprint reading, and quality checks. Must thrive in a unionized, team-based environment. Openings are available on our afternoon shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:45pm – 1:15am
Role Responsibilities
- Perform structural welding/pipe welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
- Performing MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux core welding depending on the project
- Finding and fixing faults in weldments
- Safely operate hoisting and rigging equipment to move and position heavy materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Carrying out pre-shift inspections.
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
- Experience in MIG, TIG welding
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important.
- Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Experience in a unionized environment.
