Personal Support Worker
Location: Roland Michener Secondary School
Start date: August 31, 2026
Vacancy Details: Permanent Position (32.5 hours per week) - until June 25, 2027

District School Board Ontario North East is looking for a Personal Support Worker to provide support for a student with special needs at Roland Michener Secondary School.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist the student with activities of daily living (feeding, lifts and transfers, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting) Execute the student’s care plan related to the complex medical needs (proper established care for student in the event of seizures and other health related needs) Assist with medication related to student’s complex medical needs Assist in occupational and physiotherapy strategies as directed by school personnel and the care plan Continuously observe the student in the school environment (must report and document unsafe conditions and behavioural, physical, and/or cognitive changes) Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
Position Requirements
Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate Criminal records check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is less that 6 months old at time of hire Related experience with children with special needs
Compensation: Hourly rate $28.46
