About the Role:

YMCA Experience Coordinators ensures that members, guests, and participants have positive and welcoming experiences while visiting our Centre. This position is responsible for processing membership sales, services, and program registrations, which directly contributes to member satisfaction and the overall success of YMCA programs. The Experience Coordinator will lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, supporting front-line staff, supporting administrative duties and resolving member inquiries efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with leading processes, systems and initiatives that will promote growth, improve retention, and ensure all YMCA experiences are excellent.
  • Assess and identify service situations and exercises sound judgement in recommending and facilitating solutions both within their area and Centre.
  • Promote and facilitate a positive YMCA experience for anyone who visits our Centres, role model YMCA values in each interaction by delivering service responsibly, honestly and with care. Role focuses on direct service delivery to participants and guests, including sessional and special event rentals.
  • Maintain facility and program statistics, tracking participation and capacity levels.
  • Be available to provide information on YMCA programs and services to meet individual needs, process registrations for memberships, events, programs, and services.
  • Monitors and reinforces member/guest behavior in accordance with the YMCA Member and Participant Code of Conduct.
  • Maintains a safe and supportive environment by following and adhering to YMCA Health Safety Child Protection and Emergency Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Intermediate (Standard) First Aid & CPR-C.
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector check.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and other forms of technology effectively is an asset.
  • Previous supervisory and customer service experience is an asset.
  • Flexible work schedule – including early mornings, evenings, weekends and Stat holidays.
