The insurance industry is undergoing rapid change, shaped by new technologies, emerging competitors, evolving regulations, and innovative products. Our Insurance Strategy Consulting teams help clients navigate this complexity, assess competitive dynamics, and capture opportunities for growth.
As a Business Analyst Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting business and technology transformation projects for leading Insurance organizations across Life & Health, P&C, Retirement & Investments, Creditor, and Institutional lines of business.
This is an ideal role for a proactive, analytical, and curious problem-solver with early career experience in business analysis and strategy in the insurance industry. You will work closely with colleagues and client stakeholders to define business needs, shape transformation roadmaps, and deliver actionable insights at the intersection of business and technology.
Responsibilities
- Support strategy and transformation projects for Insurance clients, helping to define business models, operating models, and roadmaps aligned with client goals
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and process mapping
- Translate business objectives into structured processes, requirements, and user stories, with a focus on enhancing customer and stakeholder experience.
- Contribute to solving complex business and technology challenges, including digital transformation, operational improvements, and process re-engineering
- Create clear and compelling presentations for senior business and technology stakeholders, leveraging storytelling and data visualization
- Collaborate as part of a team while taking ownership of specific workstreams; provide guidance to Associates where needed
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, RFP responses, and thought leadership tailored to the insurance domain.

It will be very useful if you have some or all the following skills and experience:

2+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy consulting, or insurance industry roles at the business and technology intersection

Solid understanding of insurance business models and processes, ideally across multiple product lines
-
Practical knowledge of business transformation strategy, including current vs. future state analysis, prioritization, and roadmap development
-
Ability to develop business cases that communicate strategic value and prioritize issues and solutions for senior leaders
-
Experience facilitating requirements workshops and leading stakeholder sessions independently
-
Familiarity with Agile delivery, including EPIC creation and user story writing
-
Understanding of process re-engineering and how emerging technologies and digital ecosystems are reshaping insurance
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across business and technology stakeholders

Experience supporting consulting proposals and RFP responses
-
Exposure to related roles and broader financial services experience is an asset
