We are looking for a highly motivated student or recent graduate to join our team! Our Intern Program is designed to support the development of students and recent graduates for future positions by offering one-on-one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and much more. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and master’s level students or recent graduates seeking the opportunity to work in the investment management space.
The Office of the COO team provides strategic planning, workforce management, governance, reporting and analysis, and executes strategic initiatives to support the Operations and Technology teams at IMCO.
The intern will help the team on essential administrative tasks, research, and other coordination support to help the COO function deliver on their mandate. The intern will also assist with day-to-day operations, data gathering, and business intelligence reporting activities. This role offers interns an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the business operations and technology infrastructure of a leading investment organization and will contribute to the operating rhythm of the COO portfolio while developing analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities Include:

Administrative Support

Organize and maintain team documentation, templates, and shared repositories (e.g., SharePoint).

Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and capturing minutes and action items.

Reporting & Documentation
-
Prepare draft reports, presentations, and dashboards for leadership review.
-
Track and update project and task lists, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
-
Research & Analysis
-
Conduct research on industry trends, governance practices, and operational benchmarks to inform strategic planning and business intelligence artifacts.

Compile data for financial and operational reports; assist with variance tracking and analytics.

Governance & Compliance
-
Help track audit and regulatory requests and organize supporting documentation.

Monitor and report on remedial actions to close risk, audit or regulatory recommendations.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Interest in the investment industry and willingness to learn.
- Team player with a positive attitude that can contribute to a team environment and work independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with SharePoint is an asset.
- Innate curiosity and deep desire to improve data visualization for executive decision-making and operational governance.

In addition to paid work experience for a 4 month (May-August 2026 term), we offer a number of developmental opportunities for our hires. This includes:

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
