##Responsibilities

The Multimedia Coordinator will be responsible for providing consultation and expertise related to a variety of media channels in order to build and promote the Faculty of Education’s brand. The incumbent will support the coordination of communications and marketing projects, and will ensure that best practices and trends are explored and used in all multimedia efforts. The Coordinator will support the development and production of digital media assets, including brochures, presentations, photos and videos for use in a variety of promotional and pedagogical materials.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma in Multimedia and/or Graphic Design, Digital Media Production

  • Undergraduate Degree, in Communications, Media, or associated field preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in Graphic Design, Media, Communications, Marketing or related role

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

  • Knowledge of communications and marketing best practices, processes, trends, and tools
  • Knowledge of multimedia production processes, including print, digital, video, photography, and emerging media formats
  • Knowledge of e-communication tools, including website and graphic design principles
  • Ability to design and produce visually engaging and accessible multimedia materials that align with institutional branding
  • Strong, compelling and persuasive communication skills to engage individuals and teams inside and outside the University
  • Ability to analyze metrics and consider past communications to craft engaging communications using social media or other appropriate channels
  • Ability to apply creativity and recommend strategies for engagement initiatives in response to cultural and social trends
  • Innovative and flexible critical thinking skills to adjust to and implement new processes or technology
  • Demonstrated intercultural competency and knowledge of cross-cultural research and work practices
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Proven ability to build both formal and informal professional relationships within, across, and external to organizational boundaries
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve departmental goals
  • Familiarity with University policies and procedures preferred
