About the role

Category Manager – Alliances (HP Store) Role Overview The Category Manager – Alliances is responsible for owning and scaling a newly established, high-impact strategic alliance between HP Store and Qualcomm. This role serves as the single-threaded owner for alliance performance, driving partner-led growth, go-to-market execution, and funded demand-generation initiatives aligned with HP Store’s strategic partner methodology.

This position requires strong commercial acumen, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate partner capabilities into measurable revenue, margin, and customer impact. The role works closely with internal sales, marketing, finance, operations, and executive stakeholders, as well as senior leadership at Qualcomm.

Key Responsibilities Alliance Strategy & Business Ownership

  • Own the overall alliance strategy and performance for the Qualcomm partnership within HP Store.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans, including growth targets, investment strategies, and success metrics.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for revenue growth, sales-out performance, and forecast accuracy.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and develop innovative approaches to expand category and partner contribution.

Go-To-Market & Growth Initiatives

  • Lead partner-managed growth strategies, including co-funded promotions, campaigns, and demand-generation programs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the alliance, developing GTM strategies aligned with HP Store and partner priorities.
  • Partner with marketing teams to define campaign strategy, messaging, and execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market insights.
  • Recommend adjustments to GTM plans based on performance, competitive dynamics, and industry trends.

Commercial & Program Management

  • Lead contract development, program frameworks, and ongoing optimization.
  • Design, manage, and optimize rebate structures, funding models, and process flows in partnership with finance and operations.
  • Develop business cases and funding proposals to support incremental investment and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and transparency across all commercial programs.

Partner & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong, senior-level relationships with Qualcomm and internal HP stakeholders.
  • Lead weekly partner QBRs / QC meetings, internal operating reviews, and executive updates.
  • Act as HP’s representative with the partner, advocating for HP Store priorities while fostering long-term strategic alignment.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of alliance initiatives.

Insights, Optimization & Leadership

  • Analyze performance data, KPIs, and market insights to inform strategy and recommendations.
  • Provide product, service, and solution recommendations to regional and business leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across sales, marketing, finance, operations, and supply chain.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve execution, and enhance scalability.
  • Stay current on industry, technology, and ecosystem trends, translating insights into actionable strategies.

Success Metrics

  • Revenue growth and category performance vs. plan
  • Effectiveness of GTM and funded marketing campaigns

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience, or 5–7 years in partner/alliance management, ideally within Product Marketing, Business Development, Category Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing strategic technology or ecosystem partnerships strongly preferred.

Salary The pay range for this role is $137,000 to $160,500 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
