POSITION SUMMARY***:***

Corrpro Canada is currently seeking a Corrosion Technician I/Admin to join our dynamic and expanding team. Under the supervision of senior personnel, the Corrosion Technician I supports the testing, evaluation and installation of cathodic protection systems. This is an entry level position which is directly supervised with little decision making or responsibility. A successful Corrosion Technician I will be able to learn and adequately demonstrate basic testing, evaluation, and installation skills. The role will assist the operations department, ensuring smooth office functions and handling general day-to-day administrative tasks.

WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Corrosion Technician Duties:

  • Conduct various specific test procedures to gather data for evaluation purposes.
  • Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data.
  • Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings.
  • Assist senior personnel in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports.
  • Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent detail.
  • Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables.
  • Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations.
  • Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations.

Administrative Duties:

-*Office & Administrative Support:*Ordering supplies, managing shipping, monitoring main phone line, managing emails, taking meeting minutes, performing office inspections, and supporting IT.

  • Employee & Equipment Management: New hire setup, equipment sign‑in/out, ensuring equipment compliance (calibrations, repairs).
  • Project & Operational Support: Invoicing, data conversion, drafting/map updates, report processing, job prep, material transfers, and material sales.
  • Vehicle & Logistics Coordination: Scheduling major vehicle appointments, coordinating drop‑off/pick‑up, and occasional hotshots.
  • Safety & Training: Scheduling safety courses/tickets and maintaining safety documents.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Annual inventory support, inventory tracking, managing open orders, and placing stock orders when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or Experience: Technical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMPP CP1, 0-2 years of experience. Class 5 driver’s license. 2 years of administration/ data entry experience. Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar system highly preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic mathematical concepts.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Personal Attributes: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Attention to detail is essential to the success of this role. Ability to work independently and display creativity, exercise sound judgment and demonstrate initiative.
  • Computer-Based: Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. Ability to learn new applications quickly. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) required.
