CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Student Registration Manager to lead the administration of student regulatory compliance functions including registration, admission to membership and other student-focused regulatory matters. In this role you will oversee the implementation of policies and processes that uphold the public interest, ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks and manage sensitive and confidential information – all while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs).
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading the operations of student registration workflows including registration, re-registration, admission to membership, provincial transfers, suspensions, reinstatements, deregistrations, resignations and good character declarations.
Managing and mentoring a high performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Ensuring adherence to bylaws, regulations and internal policies while proactively identifying and mitigating regulatory risks. Preparing detailed summaries of sensitive and confidential cases and providing recommendations to senior leadership to support risk management.
Oversee the Annual Student Dues (ASD) project and ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Liaise with students, applicants and stakeholders internally and externally and interact with all levels of the organization.
Responding to complex inquiries and providing expert advice on regulatory matters.
Analyzing data to identify opportunities for improved oversight while ensuring data integrity and meeting reporting requirements.
Leveraging technologies such as RPA and AI to enhance operational efficiency and improve the student experience.
Contribute to the development and review of regulatory policies and procedures and conducting research to support informed decision-making.
Supporting organizational initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Who You Are:
A post-secondary graduate with a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Management or related field with a minimum of 5 years progressive work experience in a compliance or regulatory environment.
A proven people leader with a track record of building, mentoring and motivating teams.
A strong communicator (verbally and written) who demonstrates professionalism, diplomacy and relationship-building skills.
Digitally fluent in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Teams along with Salesforce or similar CRM platform, Adobe and Power BI.
A critical thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex issues using sound judgement and decision-making.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Familiar with CPA Ontario’s governing framework, including relevant Acts, bylaws, regulations and policies.
