About The Role Regional Water Supply Manager Full Time up to 12 months fixed contract/ secondment Salary – circa £60-70k + car allowance £6k + performance related bonus + Private Healthcare for you/ Spouse/ family options & other benefits Location – East London & Essex About The Role We’ve an exciting opportunity to join us for a year as a Regional Water Supply Manager in Essex to cover maternity leave. Our Essex operating area stretches from East London through to Colchester, covering areas including Chigwell, Barking, Romford, Chelmsford, and Southend.

You will be one of two Regional Supply Managers looking after our Essex Operating Area where you’ll be leading teams of Water Supply Team Managers and Operational Technicians to deliver amazing clean drinking water to our customers. This role will lead our operation of slow sand filter water treatment works and operational teams at Layer De La Haye Water Treatment Works (Colchester) and Chigwell Water Treatment Works (East London).

In the role of Regional Water Supply Manager, you’ll lead your team to deliver great quality drinking water, safely and efficiently. You’ll meet customer expectations through the development and implementation of strategic and tactical operational plans while maximising efficiencies within your area of responsibility. You’ll also be part of a wider team of Regional Water Supply Managers covering the Essex and Suffolk operating region of the Northumbrian Water Group.

You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as water quality, service planning, asset investment and maintenance. We’re looking for you to develop and maintain strong relationships with our capital project teams to ensure effective delivery of the agreed solution, in the role as asset user.

You’ll be accountable for your operation to meet forecasted demand that is treated in line with our regulatory requirements at the right cost.

In the role we will provide you with development opportunities in Leadership, Project Delivery and Budget/Financial Management within Essex & Suffolk Water and more widely in the Northumbrian Water Group.

About You We’re looking for you to have a positive approach to things with a “can do attitude”, be resilient, organised and a great communicator with colleagues and stakeholders alike. Experience leading diverse teams is essential and bringing your own skillset from your previous roles to help share best practice across the business.

Experience related to Water Utilities would be highly advantageous.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
