Centretown Community Health Centre (CCHC) has served Ottawa's urban core for more than 55 years.
We provide integrated primary health care, mental health, substance use, health promotion and community development services to people facing some of life's greatest challenges. Our clients include people experiencing homelessness, newcomers, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, seniors, people living with complex health needs, and many others who experience barriers to care.

You'll be successful in this role if you
Can see both the big picture and the details needed to execute effectively. Are comfortable challenging the status quo and asking difficult questions when necessary. Have a talent for building systems, processes, and structure that drive organizational success. Lead with humility, curiosity, accountability, and sound judgment. Understand the importance of balancing organizational mission with long-term financial sustainability. Never lose sight of the people and communities behind the numbers.
Our ideal Director of Finance combines progressive finance leadership experience with strong technical accounting expertise and sharp business judgment. They are driven by improvement, trusted by colleagues, and ready to partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to help shape the next chapter of our organization's growth and success.
Experience in healthcare, community organizations, or the not-for-profit sector is an asset, but what matters most is your willingness to roll up your sleeves, solve complex problems, and build strong, trusting relationships.
Qualifications
A CPA designation is required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience. Experience managing large budgets within a multi-funded environment preferred. Strong proficiency with financial software. Strong critical analysis, problem-solving, planning, decision-making, leadership, organizational, and change management skills. Committed to the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Excellent written and spoken English; ability to communicate in French is an asset.

This is an Ottawa based, hybrid role with two to three days on site

We are a nonprofit, multi-service Community Health Centre that has been playing an active role in the community since 1969. Our programs and services provide an ingrained presence in communities throughout the city so people can access the support that they need to stay healthy. We offer a full range of community services delivered by a diverse team of professionals. Our team includes doctors, nurses, social workers, counselors, dietitians, community developers, health promoters, and outreach workers.
