About the role

About the Team The Circular Material Innovations (CMI) team is part of Product Stewardship at Canadian Tire Corporation. The team manages packaging data, regulatory reporting, and waste diversion programs across Canada (e.g., tires, packaging, IC&I waste). It also identifies and delivers circular business and operational opportunities. The team is tasked with improving data quality and infrastructure, and identifying tangible opportunities to reduce cost, risk, and environmental impact. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate owns the administrative and data foundations of the team. They’re organized, detail-focused, and know how to keep things running smoothly. They are comfortable managing multiple tasks at once, working across teams and collaborators, and digging into data. They take initiative, communicate clearly, and look for ways to improve processes and reduce manual work. What You'll do: Coordinate data collection, tracking, and organization across multiple programs. Support vendor outreach, follow-ups, and data validation to ensure accuracy & completion. Prepare data for presentations and regulatory reporting (e.g., Extended Producer Responsibility, Federal Plastics Registry, Canada Plastics Pact). Maintain files, trackers, and documentation to support audit-ready data and business needs. Support monthly operational tasks (e.g., invoice tracking, accruals, and reporting). Improve workflows and reduce manual work through AI and automation. What You'll Bring: 2-5 years Administrative or Coordinator experience (in-school & internship experience will be considered). Excellent Excel and data management skills, with experience handling large datasets and multiple platforms/software (e.g., PowerBI, Azure, Knime, etc.). Attention to detail, process and operational efficiencies. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Excellent time-management skills. Clear communication style, ability to adapt to different audiences. Positive attitude and self-starting mindset. Background in data management, accounting, product stewardship, retail, and/or merchandising considered an asset. Our typical hiring range is between $44,000.00 and $73,000.00 CAD Annual. The target salary range is between $55,000.00 and $65,000.00 CAD Annual. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
