Closing Date (closes at 11:59 pm on date noted below): December 30, 2026 Job Type: Temporary Department: Recreation and Programs Salary: $25.63 - $25.63 Position Summary: Recreation Program Instructors will deliver high-quality recreation programs for a variety of ages which may include children, youth, adults and older adults. Program areas may include arts & crafts, games, sports, dance, general interest, wellness, etc. Key Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver recreation programs for a variety of age groups which may include children, youth, adults and older adults Ensure safety of participants while taking part in programs Provides an inclusive, welcoming, safe environment, and excellent customer service. Prepare and maintain documentation including attendance, incident reports, and other administrative duties as required. Respond to incidents and emergencies by following established procedures and administering first aid when required. Maintain professional and positive relationships with participants, staff, and the public as representatives of the City of Niagara Falls. Maintains good relations with staff and public at all times as a City of Niagara Falls representative. Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions. Performs other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Must be 16 years of age Experience leading programs in a recreation environment Skills and knowledge in a program area such as arts & crafts, games, sports, dance etc. Strong Customer Service, communication and interpersonal skills. Police Clearance Vulnerable Sector Check Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C and High Five’s Principles of Healthy Child Development are assets How to apply: Please submit your application including a cover letter and resume through Workday using the apply button above.
