About the role
As a Sr. Account Administrator, you are responsible for managing, coordinating and ensuring the completion of accounting and administrative functions by the branch support team.
Key Responsibilities include:

Direct supervision of a team Account Administrators and support for the Branch Manager
-
Review and coach Account Administrator on monthly results
-
Support on personal and commercial client insurance account renewals, endorsements, and associated invoicing
-
Execute routine and special reports for commercial insurance business unit
-
Review commission statements, ensuring accuracy
-
Branch cash deposits, payments and disbursements including vouchers and bank deposits when necessary
-
Manage client Account Receivable through account activities and reports
-
Third on telephone, media and walk-in inquiries
-
Respond to initial inquiries concerning client accounts
-
Coordinate and maintain all branch supply inventory, and place orders as requested
-
Coordinate and deliver promotional material and track distribution
-
Liaise between Branch Manager and Building Manager on any office maintenance
-
Ensure the needs of customers are being met with an exceptional client experience
-
Deliver or coordinate training and cross-training of the support team
-
Develop and input employee schedules into Time & Attendance; oversee employee time off requests and employee approvals
-
Coordinate year end cleanup
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Supervisory experience considered an asset

Ability to motivate and build a cohesive support team

Highly developed problem solving skills

Communication skills (verbal, written & listening)

Exceptional organizational skills

Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks with numerous interruptions

Strong attention to detail

Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook

Experience with multi-line switchboard

Data Entry 40+ wpm
Education: High School Diploma as well as Post Secondary Education in Accounting and/or Administration considered an asset.
