Sterling Crane is looking for a Journeyperson/Red Seal Crane Operator reporting to our Winnipeg, MB Branch. This is a full-time position reporting to the Crane & Rigging Supervisor. If you are ready to lift your career to new heights, please read and apply to the job posting below!

Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To)

  • Safe operation if cranes while following company policies and federal regulations.
  • Assisting crane operators in assembly, disassembly and transport of cranes.
  • Rigging of equipment.
  • Assist technicians with the maintenance of cranes and general duties in the shop and yard.
  • Delivery of equipment and rigging as needed.

Operating Experience (Including But Not Limited To)

  • National Boom truck 28T.
  • Tadano RT 35-55T.
  • Linkbelt Truck mount.
  • Tadano AT.
  • Liebherr AT.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson certificate.
  • Class 1A driver’s license is required.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 987 or become members of the IUOE Local 987.

IMPORTANT: As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates successfully pass pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screening. This is a local position, based in Winnipeg, MB. We will not pay subsistence or travel for in-town work.
