- Possess a Grade 12 Diploma;
- Proficiency in the use of computers such as word processing, database systems;
- Related training or experience in the library field would be an asset;
- Ability to do medium work (exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects);
- Knowledge and experience within Google platform.
Duties (may Include But Are Not Limited To)
- Assist teachers and/or students in the location and use of Resource Centre materials;
- Assist in public relations, including planning and implementing visual displays and programs in the library through appropriate use of bulletin boards and other spaces;
- Maintain computer-based circulation and cataloguing protocols;
- Process resource material (shelving, filing, laminating, etc.);
- Promote the vision, mission, principles and goals of the Chinook School Division;
- Purchasing resources for library;
- Assisting staff and students with copying, scanning and printing jobs;
- Minor maintenance to printers and xerox copier.
