About the role

Newforma provides industry-leading Information Management and collaboration software for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Owner-Operator (AECO) industry. Our products, including Newforma Konekt and Newforma Project Center (NPC), help project teams manage the enormous volume of information generated on capital construction projects. We are in the middle of a major cloud and AI transformation, anchored by a strategic partnership with AWS, and we are scaling our technology organization, which spans both engineering and IT, to match our ambitions.

About the Role Newforma is executing on a major, multi-year program with AWS, internally referred to as the ACDC program, alongside several parallel AWS work streams covering cloud migration, AI enablement, and infrastructure modernization. This program sits at the center of our technology strategy, and we need a dedicated Technical Project Manager to keep it moving with discipline, pace, and clarity.

You will act as the connective tissue between Newforma's technology organization, AWS's team, AWS's delivery partner Zeb, and other outside contributors including Moov AI, Nexapp, and the SCALE AI-funded initiatives. You will be the person who knows where every work stream stands, who is blocked, who needs to be pulled in, and what needs to be escalated, and who makes sure all of that stays tightly aligned with Newforma's own product roadmap rather than becoming a side effort that pulls resources away from it.

This is a technical project management role, not a purely administrative one. You should be comfortable enough with cloud architecture, software delivery, and how large technology partners like AWS operate that you can follow a technical conversation, ask the right follow-up question, and know who to loop in next. You do not need to write production code, but you do need to genuinely understand what the engineers and architects are telling you. You will work closely with leaders across Newforma's broader technology organization, a group of well over a hundred people spanning engineering and IT, to keep this program coordinated with everything else in flight. Longer term, there is real room to grow this role. Newforma does not currently have a formal Project Management Office (PMO), and as the company scales, that gap needs to close. A strong performer in this role, with the right leadership instincts, has a clear path to building and leading that function, potentially evolving to report into the COO as the PMO takes shape organization-wide.

What You Will Do Own the AWS Program Portfolio Serve as the day-to-day owner of the ACDC program and related AWS work streams, keeping scope, schedule, and budget on track across multiple parallel efforts. Break large, multi-quarter initiatives into clear work streams, milestones, and owners, and keep that plan current as priorities shift. Track budget and spend against these programs and flag variances before they become problems. Understand how AWS programs, funding mechanisms, and delivery models work well enough to navigate them efficiently and get things unstuck on the AWS side. Maintain a shared RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) in partnership with AWS, and drive mitigation on the items we own. Watch for scope creep and manage change requests against the SOW so agreed deliverables stay protected on both sides. Partner with our FinOps team on cost visibility and tracking for these programs; the specific toolset is still being finalized, but cost discipline is expected regardless of platform. Coordinate Across Partners and Stakeholders Work directly with AWS's own project and program managers, as well as their delivery partner Zeb, to keep work streams synchronized and moving. Coordinate with other outside partners supporting Newforma's AI and cloud initiatives, including Moov AI, Nexapp, and contributors to SCALE AI-funded projects. Act as the point of contact who reaches out to the right people, internal or external, to unblock a stalled work stream before it becomes a bigger issue. Make sure AWS and partner-driven work stays married to Newforma's broader engineering roadmap, rather than pulling focus or resources away from core product commitments. Drive Visibility and Communication Report up to the CTO and other senior leaders on program status, in a way that is honest about what is on track and what is not. Build and maintain reporting that clearly shows what has been completed, what is in progress, and what is at risk, so leadership can act quickly. Run the cadence of standups, steering committee updates, and stakeholder check-ins needed to keep a program of this size aligned. Translate technical progress into terms that both engineering leaders and business stakeholders can act on. Work Alongside the CTO Partner closely with the CTO on the AWS program portfolio, taking ownership of day-to-day execution so that progress does not stall when the CTO is focused elsewhere, whether that is other strategic priorities, travel, or industry events. Exercise sound judgment on when to make a call independently and when to escalate, building the kind of trust that lets the CTO delegate with confidence. Represent the CTO in select meetings and conversations with AWS and other partners when needed. Keep the CTO focused on strategy and escalations rather than day-to-day tracking, by owning the operational detail of the program end to end. Help Build Project Management Maturity at Newforma Bring rigor and repeatable process to how Newforma runs large cross-functional technical programs. Contribute to the case for, and eventually help stand up, a formal Project Management Office (PMO) as Newforma scales. Mentor and support other project or program coordinators as the function grows. Champion Change Management and Adoption Act as a visible champion for change management, helping teams recognize when adoption of new tools or processes is lagging and stepping in to drive it forward. Make sure knowledge transfer from AWS and our delivery partners is genuinely absorbed by our internal engineering and IT teams, not left sitting with the partner. Plan the handoff from active delivery to steady-state internal ownership as each work stream wraps up.

What We're Looking For Required Prior experience working directly with AWS, either from the AWS side or as a partner or customer managing a significant AWS relationship, is a must. Large organizations like AWS operate differently than most vendors, and this role requires someone who already knows how to navigate that. Solid project or program management experience, including budget tracking, schedule management, and risk and dependency management across multiple concurrent work streams. Enough technical fluency, ideally with a background touching software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or architecture, to follow technical discussions, ask informed questions, and know when and who to escalate to. High energy and a genuine bias toward action; comfortable running several fast-moving work streams in parallel without losing track of any of them. Strong leadership presence and the confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders, including the CTO, COO, and external partner executives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present status clearly, including bad news, to both technical and non-technical audiences. A track record of building trust with cross-functional and cross-company teams, and getting people who do not report to you to move. Preferred Experience with AWS program structures specifically, such as partner or professional services engagements, funding or credit programs, or working alongside an AWS Technical Program Manager counterpart. Formal project management training or certification (PMP, PgMP, or similar), or equivalent demonstrated experience. Experience managing programs that span multiple outside vendors or contractors at once. Prior experience in, or exposure to, standing up a Project Management Office or similar function. Experience working in an enterprise SaaS company; you do not need prior AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Owner-Operator) experience, but you should be comfortable coming up to speed on the industry we serve. Bilingual in French and English, and based in Quebec.

Why This Role Matters Between AWS, ProServe, and Zeb, Newforma is bringing in close to 30 to 40 people from our partner ecosystem to help migrate and modernize our applications. Each of those partners brings their own project managers and their own way of working, and without strong orchestration, that scale of external effort can easily become fragmented, duplicated, or misaligned with what our internal teams are doing. This role exists to make sure that does not happen, both by coordinating across all of those external teams and by keeping that work tightly aligned with our own engineering organization.

You will have real ownership over one of the most visible and highest-stakes programs in the company, direct access to senior leadership, and a genuine opportunity to shape how Newforma manages large technical initiatives going forward, including the eventual formation of a PMO. If you are someone who thrives on keeping many moving parts on track, knows how to get things done inside a large partner organization like AWS, and wants a role with real growth potential, we would like to hear from you.
