The Project Manager will work in partnership with the WMO Leadership Team (Manager and Team Leaders); People Systems Design and Effectiveness Team; Patient Care Managers; People Services; Information Services (IS); the broader HRIS Project Team; and applicable HRIS vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain project work plans in coordination with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, accountabilities, schedules, timelines, resources, and budgeting where applicable
- Coordination of internal resources and vendor partners to ensure successful project execution, while identifying and implementing tailored solutions that address unique business requirements and drive strategic outcomes
- Draft business cases, briefing notes and proposals for senior leadership review and approval
- Develop, manage and deliver status reports
- Contribute to the development and reporting of WMO key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated documents
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members
- Plan, schedule, manage project timelines and milestones
- Deliver status reports, requirements documentation and presentations
- Lead the development of standard operating procedures and business process to optimize service delivery of the WMO
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Healthcare Administration related field required
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset
- At least 1-2 years of direct work experience in a project coordination/management capacity
- Experience delivering projects in the Technology and Healthcare industry
- Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking and business acumen
- Healthcare experience and/or experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is preferred
- Knowledge of clinical processes and experience in healthcare environment is preferred
- Experience and understanding of how to effectively manage change, integration and improvement projects while managing risks
- Strong familiarity with related management software, such as MS Project, Visio, MS Office, SharePoint is required
- Excellent communication skills - ability to articulate analytical results and tell a story
- Demonstrated experience in team and resource management
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Ability to work under pressure and changing priorities in a complex environment
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently handle several tasks simultaneously
