Under the supervision of the Team Leader and/or the M&OP Manager, the incumbent coordinates, within a given project, certain interventions of the department during both the proposal and execution phases.
They participate in the development of construction methods and the design of temporary works, supervise the production of required models and drawings, and ensure the compliance of the works during their implementation on the construction site. They provide technical support throughout the proposal and execution phases of the project.

What you will do

  • Oversee the team’s work quality, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and standards.

  • During the proposal phase, guide the development of general construction methods, work sequences, equipment needs, and preliminary design of temporary works.

  • At project launch or during the proposal phase, collaborate with the Team Leader or M&OP Manager and the construction team to define key mandates handled by the Methods team and those to be subcontracted (if applicable), and establish a deliverables schedule.

  • Analyze plans and specifications for permanent structures.

  • Define general construction methods in collaboration with the site team.

  • Coordinate and ensure the production of various documents, including site layout plans, lifting plans, and other project-specific drawings.

  • Coordinate and ensure the production of phasing plans: usage cycles of temporary works, general work phasing.

  • Identify optimal solutions for temporary works aligned with planning and construction methods, anticipating site challenges.

  • Design temporary structures (e.g., special formwork, pile driving templates, platforms, walkways, temporary bridges, steel structures, cofferdams, temporary supports), or prepare technical specifications.

  • Act as a credible technical resource for stakeholders.

  • Provide technical support to the construction team for method implementation and compliance.

This role could be for you if you have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering OR a college diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Coordinator: 0–10 years of relevant experience in civil works and structural design.
  • Proficiency in AdvanceDesign or other finite element analysis software.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Revit and/or Civil 3D is an asset.
