About the role
Assignment:

Full-time 1.0 FTE Cafeteria Assistant position

Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year

Hours of work are 7:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

Will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of an industrial kitchen, including food preparation, equipment operation, sanitation, inventory management, and assisting students during food preparation classes
Qualifications and/or Assets:
-
Experience and/or training as a Cafeteria Assistant
-
Food Handler Certification that is recognized by the Alberta Government (Canadian Institute of Food Safety)
-
Experience working with school-aged students
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
-
Ability to meet timelines and maintain a safe and healthy environment
-
Ability to take direction from the Food Preparation Teacher to support instructional activities
-
Ability to work independently in addition to supporting the teacher
-
Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
