Key Responsibilities Team Supervision and Management
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule employee activities
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health and safety policies
- Establish efficient work methods to meet deadlines
- Resolve work-related issues and recommend improvements
- Ensure the availability of required materials and supplies
- Prepare required reports
- Participate in employee training and skills development
- Approve work hours, leave requests, and collaborate with the payroll department
- Enforce company policies and the collective agreement
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Perform, when required, the same duties as employees under their supervision
Electrical Compliance and Certifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards (CSA, UL, ETL) in production activities
- Maintain oversight of the internal system related to certifications and compliance label control
- Coordinate required inspections and collaborate with external auditors when needed
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding electrical best practices
- Ensure testing equipment is functional and compliant with requirements
Qualifications And Skills
- High school diploma and/or equivalent experience
- Bilingual (French – English)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Availability to work outside normal hours when required
Assets
- Basic electrical knowledge or experience in a manufacturing environment
- Positive leadership and ability to mobilize a team
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
