Responsibilities This role will be employed by Irving Consumer Products as part of the shared service Research and Insights Team and will provide direct support to Cavendish Farms.

Category Leadership

  • Monitor the performance of product categories and promotions, delivering data reports to scorecards and conducting post-promotion analysis to validate progress against KPIs.
  • Perform rigorous analysis to identify assortment, distribution, pricing, and promotion opportunities to improve category and brand performance
  • Create powerful, data-driven sales presentations and customer business reviews that translate analytical insights into persuasive business cases for customers and internal management.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and sales teams to monitor inventory flow, ensure product availability, and manage product assortment recommendations
  • Support the category review process by preparing detailed analysis and reports, managing project timelines, and ensuring seamless communication across cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain).
  • Monitor of world trade flow volumes of the category.

Syndicated Data Management

  • Execute the monthly database updates and quality assurance checks
  • Manage syndicated data hierarchies and product master data
  • Work closely with the Syndicated Data Development Team to develop high engagement dashboards and views of the business to help drive action & results.

Working with People

  • Present to customers on an as-needed basis
  • Provide thought leadership/coaching on analytic and visualization skills to the rest of the organization
  • Development of category onboarding curriculum
  • Potential opportunity for development leadership through co-op students

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Category Management, Marketing Analytics, Sales Analysis, Customer Insights, Finance, Trade Marketing, or other commercial data analysis field
  • Experience in CPG industry, Foodservice industry, or Foodservice Market Research industry is a plus
  • Previous Sales or Marketing experience is a plus
  • Experience with Foodservice data platforms is a plus – e.g., Circana, Datassential, Direct Link, A-Insights, Technomic, etc.
  • Advanced analytical skill set with ability to interpret and perform complex analysis utilizing multiple data sets
  • Ability to design and build interactive dashboards with data visualization
  • Advanced technical excellence in Excel and PowerPoint, Power Query/Pivot/BI is a plus
  • Ability to lead, communicate, and influence internally as well as with customers
  • Highly organized, responsive, and a proactive collaborator
  • Strong storytelling skills, ability to use large datasets to create an engaging story to influence both external customers as well as leadership within JDI
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a flexible environment with little supervision
