In this role you will be responsible for a variety of assigned duties, including order picking and/or packing, order processing and other logistics support roles. What’s in it For You: The opportunity to take on some of the world’s most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, abundant energy and healthy environments The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve our best Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and pension plan What You Will Do: Manually pick full-case orders and stack them onto pallets using a scanner/tablet Ensure proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked Use various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck, and propane lift) to move pallets Verify quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shipped Examine all packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications and verify all information against the packing list and SAP Coordinate with other departments such as customer service, production, instant and small pack Shipping box assembly Shipping box induction for packing Shipping label preparation and application Trailer loading of packed boxes and pallets Identify items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicate with Supervisor and/or Lead Maintain the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pull completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for LTL packers. Follow all safety procedures and policies. Follow all warehouse procedures and policies. Position Details: The main work location for this position will be Mississauga (Tranmere Dr./Drew Rd.) Periodically, the role will be required to work at the Mississauga (Tomken Rd./Eglinton Ave.) location, based on business requirements. Candidate must reside in: Greater Toronto Area Work week and shift: Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday 2:30pm – 11:00pm. Periodically, you may be scheduled for the day shift, based on business requirements Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. required 3 years logistics experience 3 years reach lift fork truck experience Fork truck certification or ability to be certified Must be able to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations Must be able to follow both written and verbal directions No immigration sponsorship is available for this role Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry 50lbs Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a warehouse environment performing shipping and/or receiving responsibilities Be able to properly utilize a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach lift and/or sit-down forklift A minimal level of analytical ability is required Strong communication skills and teamwork This is for a new position. Annual or Hourly Compensation Range: $26.44 / hour. This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range.
