Job Description:

Major Job Functions

  • Disassembly and assembly of CAT Parts and Components including (but not limited to): drives, brakes, transmissions, pumps and valves
  • Perform a wide variety of part and component inspections, including working with Caterpillars reusability guidelines
  • Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
  • Complete technical documentation (service reports, inspection add sheets, etc.)
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Specific Skills & Experience

  • HET certification preferred

  • Ability to manage time and priorities

  • Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract

  • Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail

  • Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset

  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset

  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset

NOTE:

  • 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices MAY be considered
  • Relocation and other allowances/bonuses may be available
