Right now we are looking for a Clerical Support Associate to work with our Haemodialysis Department, Nephrology Program.
Employment Status: Temporary Full-Time
Duration: February 23, 2026
Location: Humber River Health, Wilson Site
Labour Group: LiUNA
Reporting Relationship: Manager, Haemodialysis, Nephrology Program
Hourly Rate: $29.966 - $31.016
Position Responsibilities:
- First line of contact with patients and their families.
- Provides administrative, clerical and customer service support including reception/customer service, answering telephones, and organizing tests, procedures and lab work
- Regular communication with Dietary department, input to and monitor Thoughtwire
- Register patients for their appointments and apply armbands within a 30 minute window, re-book missed wheel-trans rides, assist drivers to locate patients
- Booking appointments in community wide scheduling, making changes to patient schedule, Collecting statistics and data as required including ORRS data collection and submission.
- Responsible for unit staffing tasks as per guidelines in consultation with the Manager or designate.
- Other clerical support as requested by the Resource nurse/Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of a Community College Office Administration Diploma (preferably Medical) or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one-year full time recent clerical experience required, preferably in an out-patient health care setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required. MEDITECH computer experience an asset.
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Good organizational and problem solving skills required, including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload. Demonstrated ability to cope with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions and emergency situations
- Experience in community wide scheduling strongly preferred
- Good keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Very good spelling, proof reading skills and minute writing as well as math skills.
- Recent hospital clerical experience especially in nephrology strongly preferred
- Recent registration experience in Nephrology strongly preferred
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
