About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all GFL Environmental safety policies and procedures and comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and other provincial regulations.
- Safely operate Front-End, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, and Top-Load collection vehicles.
- Cross-train on specialized equipment, including the Crane Container Delivery Truck.
- Service customers in accordance with contractual requirements and municipal schedules.
- Safely push, pull, lock/unlock, and maneuver containers.
- Demonstrate customer service excellence in all interactions.
- Meet or exceed productivity and performance benchmarks.
- Provide coverage across residential collection routes when required.
Competencies & Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and no preventable accidents in the past year.
- Strong knowledge of York Region. Considered an Asset
- organizational and time-management skills.
- 5 Days a week with early morning starts, variable finish times, holidays, and Saturdays.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable performance and attendance record.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
