We're looking for Biology experts with advanced degrees to help build and train cutting-edge AI models. You'll bring real scientific depth to complex problems, helping AI systems reason more accurately across the biological sciences.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed around your schedule. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific expertise and a sharp analytical mind.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Develop, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related areas to design complex, meaningful problem statements Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and rigor Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance model reasoning in the life sciences Ensure scientific clarity and intellectual integrity across all deliverables Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
Hold a Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, etc.) Deeply knowledgeable in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics Comfortable working with Python or R for research or data analysis Exceptionally clear in both written and verbal scientific communication Detail-oriented, methodical, and committed to scientific rigor Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows Background in scientific writing, peer review, or academic publishing Familiarity with computational biology tools or research pipelines Experience designing or reviewing research problems for educational or assessment purposes
