Top Benefits
Mandatory PTO first week
One Friday off monthly
Paid shutdown week Christmas-New Year
About the role
Who you are
- You don't just ask "what should this look like?"—you ask "what are we trying to learn?" and "how will we know if it worked?"
- You can articulate the business case for your designs and connect them to metrics (activation rate, feature adoption, MRR)
- You're comfortable operating in ambiguity and building conviction through small experiments rather than waiting for perfect data
- You know when a scrappy prototype will do and when polish matters
- You've shipped experiments that failed—and learned something valuable from them
- You can move from hypothesis to testable design in days, not weeks
- 3-5 years of product design experience within B2B, Saas
- 2+ years designing for growth (not just "product design"—actual growth work: onboarding flows, activation loops, retention features, paywalls, etc.)
- A portfolio that shows experiments you've run, metrics you've moved, and how you iterated based on results
- Experience working in fast-moving environments where you ship, learn, and ship again
- You can explain your design thinking to engineers, PMs, and execs without jargon
- You know how to advocate for users while respecting business constraints
- You give and receive feedback generously
- Experience with tools like Figma, Amplitude/Pendo, Jira, and user research platforms
- Background designing for SMB SaaS or CRM products
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows
- Comfort working in a fully remote, distributed team
- Familiarity with animation tools, such as Lottiefiles or Jitter
What the job involves
- You'll be the design voice in a lean, high-velocity Growth squad (PM, Engineer, Designer, and Data Scientist) tasked with moving the metrics that matter: activation, adoption, retention, and revenue
- This isn't about making things pretty—it's about making things work
- Your first 90 days:
- Ship experiments that test hypotheses around onboarding, feature adoption, or direct revenue-generating experiences
- Partner with your PM and Engineer to identify friction points and design solutions that move key metrics
- Sync in and contribute to the squad’s operating cadence of hypothesis → design → test → learn
- Build credibility with stakeholders by showing how design drives measurable outcomes
- Beyond that, you'll:
- Own the end-to-end design process for growth initiatives across web and mobile
- Run A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimize user flows (signups, onboarding, activation, cross-selling)
- Use qualitative insights (user interviews, support tickets) and quantitative data (analytics, experiment results) to inform design decisions
- Create everything from quick wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, matching fidelity to the question you're answering
- Collaborate with our 8-person Design team and dedicated UX Researcher while operating semi-autonomously within Growth
- Help shape Roofr's experimentation culture by documenting learnings and advocating for bold ideas
Benefits
- 1st week of employment is mandatory PTO! Start your journey with Roofr by decompressing and recharging - we will see you in week 2!

- Flexible time off
- Medical, dental and vision insurance premiums for employees and their dependents
