- Very strong level of French (written and spoken) is required
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Presentation skills and ability to lead workshops
- Leadership skills
- Able to use a computer to perform his or her duties
- Able to work collaboratively in a team as well as autonomously
- Experience with adult learners
- Knowledge of the Quebec Model for RAC or PLAR
- Knowledge of the competency-based approach
- Ability to work with tact and diplomacy
- Knowledge of vocational programs - an asset
Nature of the work The position of education consultant encompasses, in particular, responsibility for providing advice and support to staff of educational institutions and services in the implementation, development and evaluation of programs of study, class management and instructional materials.
Daily Tasks/Dossiers
- The education consultant participates in supporting content experts and RAC counsellors across the English sector of Quebec. In this regard, they will provide stakeholders with information on RAC services and processes. For instance, by, informing individuals of the goal of RAC and what the process entails and by providing training opportunities for the English sector stakeholders.
- The incumbent collaborates with stakeholders to identify evaluation strategies, plan evaluation activities, participate in defining training needs, and propose training activities. They will also participate in the creation of tools to support stakeholders in the RAC process.
- The incumbent will be called upon to represent the English sector on various regional RAC committees as well as to the Ministry of Education. The incumbent will also represent the English sector at fairs and conventions and may be called up to present at those events. They will also be called on to organize and animate networking activities for the English sector stakeholders

The Lester B. Pearson is the largest K-12 English school board in the province of Quebec. LBPSB educational territory covers the western portion of the Island of Montreal and off Island communities. It includes a network of 40 elementary, 12 High schools, 2 Adult education centers and 3 vocational centers serving a population of over 25,000 youth and adult students.
