Qualifications/Experience:
This project is part of a larger SSHRC-funded project on Age-Friendly Communities in Manitoba. Duties for this position will include helping to maintain and update a user-friendly website, including creating new posts and developing new ways of communicating existing information via the website and social media, as applicable. Duties will also include liaising with MB organizations. Duties may also include research on topics relating to older adult health and wellbeing (literature review) and writing and interviewing members of organizations serving older adults in Manitoba. Tasks will also include other relevant duties, as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and have excellent organizational skills. Strong abilities in writing and communication. Ideal candidates will be upper-level undergraduates (3rd to 4th yr +). Experience with communicating information to various audiences via written or visual formats is an asset. Ideally, the candidate will have knowledge and understanding of gerontology (study of older adulthood), loneliness/social engagement among older adults, and knowledge of working with older adults. Completion of TCPS-2: CORE ethics.
