Position Summary

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Program Manager to join Sopra Steria's Aeroline Division. In this role, you will be embedded with one of our customer in the Aeronautic sector, working closely with global teams to deliver high-impact programs.

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for driving execution, coordinating cross-functional and international teams, ensuring stakeholder alignment and managing budgets, This position requires a mix of strategic leadership, technical understanding, and strong customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale Development, Infrastructure & Cloud programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between our customer and global delivery teams.
  • Manage program scope, schedule, risks, and budgets, ensuring alignment with customer priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-country teams (engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, application development) and ensure effective collaboration across time zones.
  • Provide clear reporting and communication to stakeholders, including executives, technical leads, and customer representatives.
  • Conduct regular on-site meetings in Waterloo (minimum 2 days/week) to drive alignment and support customer needs.
  • Anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support change management, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives within the program.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IT, cloud, and cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in program/project management with a focus on IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, or Application Development projects.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-country programs.
  • Strong budget management and financial oversight experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity withaerospace/aviation or safety-critical environments is an asset.
  • PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.
  • Technical background in IT, Cloud, or Cybersecurity is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in Waterloo, ON at least 2 days per week.
  • English required / French is a plus
