WHAT IS THIS OPPORTUNITY?
This role reports to the Strategy, Risk , Business Operations and Shared Services (SRBOSS) group within Commercial, Core Banking and Payments Technology(CCBPT). As part of this team, you will be a key player in helping deliver insights to the larger CCBPT teams and business stakeholders by providing on going input into process and reporting insights.
This role is responsible for assisting with Portfolio and Financial activities including all BAU processes, tracking and reporting overall segment spend against annual budgets including demand and NIE targets. This role will play an instrumental part in evolving the CCBPT reporting space through automation and simplification of reporting through the creation and enhancement of Tableau dashboards
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Supports all BAU Portfolio and Financial activities including opening and closing projects, headcount and professional fees tracking, demand to capacity analysis and analysis of annual/quarterly/monthly targets to actuals/forecast
- Helps with the creation of executive level insights related to Portfolio and Financial activities.
- Manages the production of monthly financial and portfolio update for CCBPT pillars
- Keeps process documentation up-to-date.
- Provides input into portfolio and financial content on the SRBOSS Connect and SharePoint sites
- Looks for opportunities to streamline, simplify and automate Business Operations Processes and Reporting
WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must Have:
- 5+ years Portfolio Management, financial tracking and executive reporting.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office Programs (Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and Word) and Tableau and SQL
- Knowledge of RBC IT project forecasting, development delivery, system maintenance and IT tracking tools (MIS, Plan view, KPI metrics)
- Excellent analytical skills – proven experience conducting data analysis/discovery/aggregation as a foundation to providing meaningful analysis and management reporting to facilitate business decisions at a senior management/executive level.
- Educational background in Finance//Data Science an asset
- Broad systems management experience
