Job Description
How You’ll Make an Impact:
In your new role as our General Manager Facilities Support services, you will lead and direct a large facility team through their daily activities. This will include arranging client meetings, arranging contractors on site, setting up spaces for client meetings and presentations, ensuring guest satisfaction. This role will also manage smaller satellite campus locations.

Lead client experience ensuring the site runs smoothly with all events as well as access to teams, trade staff and guests entering the site.

Provide formal supervision to employees, monitors the training and development of staff.

Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
-
Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
-
Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
-
Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
-
Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
-
Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.

Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
-
Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.

Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
-
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with Sodexo values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes

English/French bilingual communication is an asset (oral/written)
Qualifications
Qualifications

Post secondary education, ideally in business management, hospitality, facilities coordination, Environmental Services. Equivalent experience and education may be considered.

Minimum 5 – 7 years in similar or progressive roles in building concierge services and guest services
-
Experience working with meeting coordination, AV Technical requests and set up for meetings
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing safety programs, return to work/modified duties programs and strong familiarity with WCB/COR Audits and other related safety programs
-
Minimum 5 -7 years in progressive leadership, supervisory, and managerial roles.
-
High level of proficiency in MS office suite applications
-
Project Management & Project analysis: Ability to read, analyze, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports and determine the status of the job regarding schedule and costing
-
Strong financial management experience; budget creation, forecasting, interpreting financial data (profit and loss statements)
-
Ability to pass both a standard background check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
-
Valid drivers license
