The Technical Service Representative is a field-based position (remote). The preferred candidate should reside near Winnipeg for ease of access to the airport for travel across the region.
The Technical Service Rep will:

Schedule and perform routine periodic manufacturer’s certification, installation and commissioning of medical supply systems and other medical equipment at customer locations in accordance with service contract and company procedures and standards. Work may be closely supervised during the training phase.

Evaluate, diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment in response to service calls.
-
Be on-site when and where necessary, and "on-call" to provide emergency service, per the rotating schedule, outside of normal business hours.

TSR will provide some technical support via telephone.

Provide technical support for upgrades and other special service programs to support field service activities.

Promote customer satisfaction through proactive, professional communication with the customer.

Use company supplied laptop to access service dispatches and customer information; document service work performance; extract equipment documentation and diagnostic information; place inventory and parts orders, and perform other electronic data communications and transfers as may be directed or required to effectively perform their job responsibilities.

Manage dispatches and time effectively and efficiently to drive high impact services to Draeger customers.

Adhere to KPIs, policies, and guidelines assigned both individually and departmentally, to ensure that final deliverables are in line with quality processes and business objectives at Dräger.

Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Your Qualifications
Education:
Associates degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
Related Experience:
-
Previous technical service experience, preferrably at customer sites
-
At least three to five years of experience
-
Computer networking experience preferred
Special Competencies or Certifications:
-
Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
-
Must have valid international travel documents to the USA and other countries
-
Must be able to travel within territory and willing to travel outside of territory when needed
-
Must be customer focused and able to build positive work relations
-
Must have effective communication skills with both external and internal customers
-
Must have proficient computer skills (MS suite)

Bilingual (French) is an asset
Work Environment / Conditions:

This is deemed to be a Safety Sensitive position, where performance limitations (due to substance use, for example) could result in an incident or situation with the potential for high consequences. Therefore, you may be subject to post-employment drug or alcohol screenings, for example, prior to performing work at customer sites.

Position requires travelling up to 75% of the time, not including trainings and meetings
-
Out of province travel might be required, as well as international travel for training purposes
-
Travel by vehicle or air to customer locations which may involve occupational hazards associated with industrial work areas (i.e., hospitals, etc.)

Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs
-
Manual dexterity to use a keyboard, tools, ladders and test equipment
