About The Opportunity

The IT Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for overseeing the quality of changes to a portfolio of enterprise business applications. They build, execute, and document test plans by analyzing business requirements provided by a team of business analysts, support user acceptance testing, and ensure that applications meet performance, security, accessibility, and usability requirements where applicable.

The incumbent supports customer testing activities as well as system changes, which frequently take place outside of business hours. Additionally, they participate in testing strategy sessions, work with the development operations team to create and maintain automated test routines, and review and validate the output of automated testing.

In this role, you will

  • Develop, execute, and document test plans and test cases based on business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Analyze requirements and change documentation to identify test scenarios, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing across enterprise business applications
  • Identify, document, track, and validate defects, working closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to support timely resolution
  • Support user acceptance testing and customer testing activities by preparing test materials, coordinating test execution, and validating results
  • Participate in testing strategy discussions and provide input on test scope, approach, timelines, risks, and quality considerations
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and execution of automated test routines, and review automated testing results for accuracy and completeness
  • Validate that application changes meet applicable performance, security, accessibility, usability, and regulatory requirements
  • Support change management processes by confirming testing completion, documenting results, and providing quality assurance sign-off recommendations
  • Assist with system changes, production validations, and special projects, including activities that may occur outside regular business hours as required

Essential Qualifications

  • Two or more years of IT QA experience
  • An understanding of the importance of securing sensitive information as well as ensuring the integrity of the systems being managed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate and interact effectively with technical professionals as well as users and others who are non-technical experts
  • Strong customer service orientation, with a demonstrated ability to listen and understand, and to establish and maintain effective relationships with users
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to follow problems through to resolution
  • Initiative and creativity to develop new approaches or solutions
  • Ability to work independently and take accountability for the quality of work
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a team member, sharing information and ideas in a timely manner
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively, multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability and commitment to acquire new skills and improve knowledge and competencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in computer science, engineering or business

The salary range for this position ranges from $80,000 to $95,000. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, along with internal equity.
