We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team.
Role: Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Canada (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and support AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and DevOps automation, with the ability to independently deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, and Argo CD. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and ECS. Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks using Bash and/or Python scripting. Design and support scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver cloud-native solutions. Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and Kubernetes-related issues. Implement cloud security, governance, monitoring, and cost optimization best practices.
Required Skills
7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, networking, and security. Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Experience with GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, and Argo CD. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred). Strong Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash); Python is a plus. Experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure independently. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Associate or Professional Certification. Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS). Experience with GitOps, enterprise cloud governance, security, and cost optimization.
