Responsibilities Sales
- Support the sales team in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
- Assist with managing inventory levels across multiple sites.
- Develop and grow lumber sales with existing and new customers.
- Optimize lumber inventory management to maximize sales and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lumber manufacturers and distributors.
- Identify new markets, customers, and growth opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and strategy.
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and production facilities.
- Track and analyze sales activities using data analytics.
- Communicate regularly with customers and third-party partners.
- Occasional travel required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Logistics
- Support the freight team to ensure daily operational needs of multiple sawmills are met.
- Prepare reports on trucking, shipments, and inventory activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt; no prior experience required, 2-3 years of experience in a similar role considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- High-energy, motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective team player with a collaborative and respectful approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
