About the role

Job Description Are you a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking to kickstart your career in sales and logistics? Responsibilities Sales

  • Support the sales team in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with managing inventory levels across multiple sites.
  • Develop and grow lumber sales with existing and new customers.
  • Optimize lumber inventory management to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lumber manufacturers and distributors.
  • Identify new markets, customers, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and strategy.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales team and production facilities.
  • Track and analyze sales activities using data analytics.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and third-party partners.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Logistics

  • Support the freight team to ensure daily operational needs of multiple sawmills are met.
  • Prepare reports on trucking, shipments, and inventory activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt; no prior experience required, 2-3 years of experience in a similar role considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • High-energy, motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective team player with a collaborative and respectful approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
