Where Will You Work
Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. Its split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world.
Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.
The Instrumentation Engineer Co-Op/Intern is responsible for providing support to assigned department by designing and executing technical projects. What do you need for this role?
Day To Day Duties Will Include
Collaborate with advanced technology and visionary leadership to solve real-world challenges. Contribute to special project design and support initiatives aimed at optimizing facility efficiency and enhancing final product quality. Day-to-day work assignments could include conducting fieldwork for data collection and analysis, report writing, and database maintenance Partner with a technical supervisor who will assign and guide you through projects such as troubleshooting to identify root causes of complex issues. Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors. Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment. Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
What do you need for this role?
Second year or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Technician
72% Percentage or higher. 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office. Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination. Basic computer skills are required. Experience working in a team environment is a must. Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable. Effective verbal communication skills is a plus. Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
