- Instruct computer aided design and drafting skills to students.
- Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments.
- Manage his/her classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
- Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recoding student progress.
- Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
- Accommodate students with special learning needs.
- Attend staff, program and division meetings.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
- Practice good interpersonal and communication skills
- Work cooperatively in an interdependent “team” environment.
- Follow any academic regulations and/or policies adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Description
Required Qualifications
- Two-year engineering technology Diploma in one or more of the following disciplines: Drafting, Mechanical, Architectural, CAD/CAM, including an advanced CAD drafting course.
- Autodesk Certified Instructor
- Two years’ recent/relevant business/industry experience (two years’ experience in the last five years).
Instructor Appreciation/Orientation – All instructors are required to attend a 1-hour time period that works with their schedule and location.
