About CGA Medical Imaging

At CGA Medical Imaging, we believe exceptional patient care starts with an exceptional team. As a growing provider of diagnostic imaging services across Alberta, we are committed to delivering safe, timely, and high-quality care in a warm and welcoming environment ; for our patients and for the people who work here. We foster a supportive, collaborative culture where clinical excellence, professional growth, and genuine respect are part of everyday practice. If you are a healthcare leader who wants to make a real impact and help shape the future of a growing organization, we would love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day clinical and operational performance of all CGA Medical Imaging locations. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services in full compliance with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Program, and all applicable regulatory standards — while leading and supporting the teams that make it happen. You will provide leadership across clinical staff, regulatory compliance, patient experience, financial oversight, and strategic growth.

What You'll Do

Lead multi-site clinical operations

  • Oversee daily operations across all locations, ensuring consistent workflows, scheduling efficiency, and smooth patient throughput.
  • Standardize clinical protocols, policies, and procedures across sites, and manage staffing coverage between locations.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades with vendors.

Champion compliance & quality

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with CPSA Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation standards, and radiation safety regulations.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs, including image quality audits and incident reporting.
  • Maintain readiness for inspections and accreditation reviews, and ensure adherence to privacy legislation (HIA/PIPA).

Support & develop the team

  • Supervise sonographers, MRTs, and clinical support staff across all sites.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Verify staff credentials and licensure (e.g., Sonography Canada, ARDMS, ACMDTT) and continuing-education compliance.

Elevate the patient experience

  • Uphold high standards of patient safety, comfort, and service, and resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor wait times and access-to-care metrics, and implement improvements.
  • Liaise with radiologists, referring physicians, and AHS contacts to support clinical workflow, reporting turnaround, and referral relationships.

Keep everyone safe

  • Maintain compliance with Alberta OHS legislation, including hazard assessments, WHMIS, and incident investigations; promote ergonomic safety for imaging staff.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans (medical emergencies, fire, evacuation, equipment failure, IT outages) and conduct regular staff drills.

Drive growth & continuous improvement

  • Participate in operational budget preparation and prepare operational reports and KPIs for senior leadership.
  • Create and maintain the operations manual, SOPs, and clinical policies, with version control and staff sign-off.
  • Support expansion initiatives, new site setups, and new modality launches, and identify opportunities for process improvement and service growth.
  • Support community outreach and health-awareness campaigns (e.g., breast cancer awareness and mammography education) and clinic promotion initiatives.
  • Serve as the escalation point for urgent operational, staffing, or facility issues outside regular business hours.

What You'll Bring

  • 5 to 10 years of clinical and operational leadership experience in diagnostic imaging or a comparable healthcare setting.
  • Graduate / Post graduate education.
  • Strong detail orientation and communication skills.
  • Experience in clinical ultrasound/ MRT environments preferred.
  • Team-based approach to diagnostic practices.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, spending account and RRSP matching as per company policy.
  • Support for professional development and continuing education.
  • A collaborative, supportive team and a leadership role in a growing organization where your work makes a real difference.

Reporting & Working Conditions

  • Reports to: CEO / Senior Leadership.
  • Regular travel between CGA Medical Imaging locations is required.
  • Some after-hours availability required for urgent operational matters.
