About the role
Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our team as a Service Technician for Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems (VFSS) in Regina, SK.
Main Responsibilities as a VFSS Technician
- Your role will involve a variety of maintenance and repair activities, including:
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicle fire suppression systems and other Fire & Life Safety Equipment at customer sites
- Conducting life safety inspections and audits, providing value-added recommendations for follow-up and maintenance
- Delivering site-specific training for owners and end users
- Acting as the Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers and their onsite safety needs
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined and eager to learn and build a career in a hands-on technician role within the service industry
- Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or motorized equipment is a strong asset, but not required for the right individual with a willingness to learn
- Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude, with experience using power and hand tools
- Experience, education, or training in fire protection and/or suppression systems is a strong asset
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing, as well as criminal background checks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working with technology and mobile devices

Physical & Safety Requirements
This is a physically demanding and safety-sensitive role that involves working with various types of equipment and in diverse environments. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted and have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. The role requires working in confined or restricted spaces, including climbing ladders and walkways on large equipment.
