The Financial Reporting team carries out the traditional core financial accounting and reporting role within the organization. They steward the organization’s assets, ensuring business integrity, financial health and control, and ensures that the organization conducts itself in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Providing a strategic role in the organization, the Financial Reporting team helps in the development and deployment of business solutions, provides support to management in strategic decision making, and guiding the organization towards its business objectives by helping the organization sustainably create value.

As part of the Financial Reporting team, the Financial Specialist is responsible for strengthening the organization's internal control environment by establishing effective control designs, supporting consistent execution across business areas, and enabling robust monitoring and reporting of control performance. Through the coordination of control documentation, testing, and remediation activities, the role enhances audit readiness, supports compliance requirements, and contributes to the reliability and integrity of financial reporting. The position also drives continuous improvement of financial controls and processes, promoting strong governance, risk mitigation, and informed decision-making across the organization.

Key functions include

Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of the internal control framework, ensuring controls are aligned to risks, clearly defined, and consistently applied across financial processes. Coordinate risk-based control testing, monitor control performance, and establish standardized processes for identifying, reporting, and remediating control deficiencies to support audit readiness and strengthen governance. Support the reliability of financial reporting by ensuring effective controls over key processes, enabling compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and supporting internal and external audit activities.

Our ideal teammate will have

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in accounting, financial planning or finance Eight years of progressive experience, including five years in a finance and accounting environment, including the following: Five years of experience in control and audit experience Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Ability to identify and raise awareness of financial and non-financial risks Demonstrated experience effectively challenging results and processes and providing sound recommendations.

Experience providing excellent customer service

Experience with SAP or other ERPs

An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
