Production Coordinator-Garment Industry
About the role
- Directly communicate with factories and internal team on art files, strike off, lab dips, fabric quality, trims/labels
- Oversee all fit samples, pre-production samples, licensee samples, and testing samples
- Review and manage Time & Action Calendar for submits regular to ensure approval deadlines are met
- Track approval status and deliveries closely with vendors
- Maintain daily communication with factories and vendors to resolve production issues
- Coordinate with Design, Merchandising, Production, and Sales to ensure timely delivery of goods, sales growth, expense management, and attainment of margin goals
- Develop good working knowledge of major retailer requirements—i.e., ticketing, hanger requirements, sizing, etc.
- Follow up on pre-production procedure, such as details review, fittings samples, and approval process of materials
- Coordinate with factories, factor visits/audits when necessary; serve as a liaison between factories and account management
- Other duties to be assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Our Production Coordinator must thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and work well under stress and must have garment fashion experience in development and production. This individual needs to have good people and leadership skills. They will need to work well independently and within a team environment—following and delegating directions, communicating and troubleshooting obstacles to effectively meet goals and objectives. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to develop relationships across departments, at all levels. Must have ability to read and interpret documents including process, procedure, and vendor manuals.
Ideal candidate will have strong organization and critical thinking skills—including keen attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and production schedules.
Qualifications/Requirements
- College Degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in production coordination or management communicating product design requirements and negotiating cost with overseas factories highly desired
- Fluent in speaking Chinese preferred
- Strong working analysis experience in Excel
- Knowledge of garment construction and Design
- General knowledge of apparel construction and can provide solution-based remedies when faced with stringent deadlines and unforeseeable obstacles that may hinder production

- Must have garment fashion experience in development and production
