About the role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Group home. Rural area. Mental health institution, facility or clinic. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Implement behaviour management programs. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Developmental services worker (DSW) Training. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Medication Administration Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Food Safety Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
