About the role
An Assembly Technician needs to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical building of heavy trucks. In this role it is important that the individual is mechanically minded and has experience in assembly and/or repair of vehicles or other types of equipment. Training in our product will be provided.
The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Be Doing:
- Adheres to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
- Communicates any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Installations of new and added-on equipment.
- Interfaces with the Safety department about repairs and additions or changes as it relates to safety interaction for employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
What We're Looking For:
- Ability to operate forklift equipment such as counterbalance, reach trucks, and pallet lifts on a daily basis, ensuring safe handling of materials in a warehouse or yard setting.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs at a given time.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure that parts are accurately picked, labeled, and staged according to the company's procedures. The role requires keeping inventory aligned with systematic transactions and physical stock levels.
- Great work ethic: Taking ownership of one’s work, being reliable and accountable, demonstrating great teamwork.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and keep on top of priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
What You'll Need For Success:
- Education high school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work well under pressure both in a team and independently.
