Job Description The House of Commons Parliamentary Precinct Operations is currently looking to staff the Shipper-Receiver position.
As part of this team, you will be responsible for the provision of shipping and receiving services for the operational and administrative needs of Members of Parliament and House Administration. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying client's needs and explaining process, receiving products and equipment, verifying specifications, barcode assets and entering information into appropriate database; shipping equipment and products, labelling and entering information in the Parliamentary Delivery System (PDS); monitoring inventory of stock in the Materiel Management warehouse; entering and tracking information in the Financial Management System; determining if returned items should be re-distributed, repaired, refinished or disposed of; returning goods to external suppliers, and preparing related administrative reports and documentation.
This position requires extensive physical efforts and therefore, the candidates must successfully pass a pre-placement medical/ physical fitness assessment.

Qualifications Education: A high school diploma OR acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.
Experience: Experience in receiving and shipping an assortment of products and goods; Experience in customer service delivery; Experience in operating a personal computer using MS-Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Experience working in a warehouse.
Assets: Various certifications: Forklift Certification; Fall Arrest Certification; Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification (CPR) Level C (issued within the last twelve months); Up to date Standard First Aid certification. Experience working with a Financial Management System.
