National Placement Leader | Commercial Insurance | Ontario
A long-standing, nationally recognized brokerage is looking for a seasoned commercial insurance professional to lead their placement function at a national level. This is a rare senior opportunity for someone who knows the Canadian market inside out. Established relationships with carriers, and what it takes to get complex risks placed well.
The Opportunity This isn't a transactional role. You'll be setting the strategic direction for how the organization engages with markets across the country while bringing consistency, discipline, and expertise to a function that touches every region. You'll work closely with producers and regional teams, and spend a meaningful portion of your time on the deals that need a seasoned hand.
What the Work Looks Like Driving national market strategy across complex commercial lines Personally supporting difficult, large, or non-standard placements Building and stewarding carrier relationships at a senior level Raising the bar on submission quality and market engagement practices Keeping a close eye on market shifts and translating that intelligence into guidance the broader team can use Developing internal talent and acting as the go-to resource on placement strategy
What You Bring A strong track record in commercial insurance marketing and placement — complex accounts, real negotiations Deep carrier relationships and a reputation that opens doors Level 2 Broker License; CIP or CRM a plus The ability to lead through influence across a distributed, multi-regional team Clear, credible communication with carriers, with AEs, and with leadership
